In order to achieve the best degree of consensus during the process of developing the Hellenic normative documents, ELOT’s main concern is the involvement in the standardization processes of as many interested parties-representatives as possible of sectors of our national economy and collective bodies.
Participation in the Technical Bodies (Sectoral Committees, Technical Committees, Working Groups, Special Project Groups) is in principle voluntary. However, participation in the standardization processes offers significant technical and financial advantages and this is of particular interest to the relevant bodies/branches/collective bodies as well as individual experts.
The most important advantage is that the interested parties by participating in the Technical Bodies, can, on the one hand, influence the formulation of the final text of the normative documents and, on the other hand, be informed directly about the new trends that will be introduced through their implementation.
